Financial Management
A Financial Management system tailored for Rental
needs
Microsoft Dynamics AX -Financial Management
delivers the functionality you need to update your accounts
efficiently and comply with internal and external reporting
requirements. Basic functionality includes general ledger,
liquidity management, accounts receivable and payable, and fixed
assets. The solution was created with the user in mind. Its layout
is based on the familiar Microsoft environment and can be
personalised to a high degree by each user. Information can be
easily pasted into other Microsoft applications such as Word and
Excel, and the availability of advanced filter and sorting options
make it easy to locate and use data.
Base Module
A system for one branch or a
global Rental business
This module places rental and hire functionality within the
enterprise management capability of Touchstone Rental Solution –
AX. Hire items are created in the fixed asset system and managed by
a sophisticated hire diary, which provides availability levels
across all locations.
Service & Maintenance
A system for raising and maintaining service
quality.
This module is designed to help rental companies ensure that they
are providing consistently high quality service to their customers
in the reliability of the equipment that they supply. In addition
to managing the service and maintenance of you own assets, the
module can also be used as a tool for managing chargeable service
jobs for customer owned equipment.
Service or maintenance jobs record details of the asset, the
original fault and work completed to rectify the fault or complete
the service task. Hours worked by maintenance personnel and parts
used on each task are all recorded. This information can be used to
identify problem assets and recurring manufacturing faults in
particular models.
Cross Hire

This module adds powerful cross hire features to the base
Enterprise Rental package providing complete management. With this
module, you‘ll be able to create back-to-back orders, report on
cross hire profitability and even see the cross hired equipment in
the diary.
Bulk Formwork &
Scaffolding
A system for the unique needs of the Bulk Hire
industry.
This module builds on the functionality of
the base Enterprise Rental package and is designed to specifically
deal with the large-scale movement of relatively low value
non-itemised assets to and from site. The module particularly suits
the problems faced by companies operating scaffolding, formwork,
false work and excavation support systems. Using the power of
Microsoft Dynamics AX's Project module adds a flexible bulk returns
processing function that handles under returns, over returns,
shortening, damage and inter-site movement.
Business Event Handler

concept of event logging; the recording of unusual or undesirable
events within a system. The business event handler module provides
you with powerful and highly configurable management tools to
record events that are unusual or undesirable within your
business.
Project Management &
Control
A system to ensure job profability and
visibility
A new concept to rental systems but not
new to Dynamics AX is the ability to collect revenue and costs
within a multi-tiered project hierarchy for overall
job profitability and activity based costing. Each job is
given a project code and structure to which all revenue from hire
orders and all costs from purchase orders are posted.
